Service to others

This trip was in conjunction with Northpoint Community Church and the 410 Bridge. We had 22 people join together to attempt to put Gods love into action to the people of Dandora and Kiu as well as in service to each other.

We were blessed to have Paul Omondi as our host for the week. Paul was raised in the slums of Kibera and Dandora. As a compassion International child and with the strong love of his own family and his compassion support family, Pendelton Brown (who turns out to be Kyles Girlfriend, Mary Balints family - Wow) he has become a true modern day "Paul". We love you Paul!! Philippians 4:12..

The impression that stuck with me most was this.. "All people are the same. However the environment and culture that one is emersed into directly shapes their opportunities and behavior."

This was evident in the people we met.. Sammy (all 5 of them) Dominque, Ken, Francis, Shadrack, etc... loved the Lord God with all their heart and soul in a way that I was humbled and convicted by.. The ladies of the village were strong and joyful in all ways. Each of them will be in our hearts forever and we look forward to the day we meet again, either hear on this earth or in heaven..
